Morgan Lucas was born in 1984 in California, the son of the famous Top Fuel drag racer, Forrest Lucas. He grew up in the world of racing and began his own career in the sport at the young age of 13. In high school, Morgan began racing competitively and by the time he graduated, he was a champion in the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) Junior Dragster class.
Morgan Lucas's professional racing career began in 2004, where he started in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. In 2005, he made his debut in Top Fuel and quickly established himself as a rising star in the industry. Morgan has seven career victories in the NHRA and has been a runner-up in three other events. Throughout his career, he has been a consistent contender for championships, finishing in the top 10 in several seasons, with a career-best finish of third in 2012.
Morgan Lucas has been a leading figure in the sport of drag racing, not just for his skill on the track but also for his role in building the Lucas Oil empire. After retiring from racing in 2014, he became the president of Lucas Oil Products, Inc. While he may not be on the track anymore, Morgan Lucas's contributions to the industry continue to be felt, and his legacy as a gifted and determined racer endures.
