Ronald "Ron" Capps is an American NHRA Drag Racer, who has been up against some of the toughest competitors in the sport today. Capps was born on June 20, 1965, in San Luis Obispo, California, and is the son of a retired California Highway Patrol officer. His father is also a drag racing enthusiast, and Ron has been interested in the sport since a very young age.
Capps is a natural-born racer; he loves the adrenaline and excitement of the sport. He has won 67 career event titles and is considered by many as one of the most skilled drivers in the sport. He began his racing career in 1993, primarily competing in Funny Cars, where he has enjoyed great success. He was named the NHRA Rookie of the Year in 1997, thanks to his remarkable performance and the skill he possessed on the track. Since then, he has become a fan favorite due to his fearless driving style, unwavering determination, and excellent sportsmanship.
Capps is known for his passion for racing, and the dedication he has shown towards the sport is unparalleled.
