Alan Kennedy Autographs
Alan Kennedy is a retired English soccer player, who was born on 31 August 1954 in Sunderland, England. He began his soccer career while still in school, where he played for several amateur clubs in his hometown. In 1978, he signed his first professional contract with Newcastle United, where he played for one season before moving to Liverpool FC.
Kennedy's time at Liverpool FC was the epitome of his soccer career. He played for the club between 1978 and 1985, winning numerous titles and accolades over the years. He played as a left-back and was known for his solid tackling and crossing abilities. Kennedy won two European Cups, five First Division titles, a League Cup, and the Charity Shield during his time at Liverpool. He also scored the winning goal in the 1981 European Cup Final against Real Madrid, which secured Liverpool's third European Cup triumph.
After leaving Liverpool, Kennedy played for several other clubs, including Sunderland, Hartlepool United, and Northwich Victoria. However, he is best remembered for his time at Liverpool, where he played 359 games and scored 20 goals. He retired from professional soccer in 1988 and has since worked as a football commentator and pundit for various broadcasting networks. Today, he is regarded as one of the best left-backs in the history of Liverpool FC, and his name remains synonymous with the club's rich history, particularly their success in European competitions.
