Alvin Martin Autographs
Alvin Martin is an English former professional football player who was born on July 29, 1958, in West Ham, London. He played as a central defender most of his career and is known for his physical style of playing. Alvin Martin started his soccer career as a youth player for West Ham United Football Club in 1974. He was an outstanding player and was soon promoted to the first team. He played for West Ham for a total of 21 years before retiring in 1996. Alvin Martin became one of the all-time greats of West Ham, having played 598 matches for the club and scoring 34 goals.
Martin made his debut for the West Ham United first team in 1978 and went on to play for several other football clubs throughout his career, including Leyton Orient, Blackpool, Southend United, and Maidstone United. His performances were excellent, and he became the captain of the West Ham team in 1988. He was also a member of the England international team and made his debut for the national team in 1982. He played for England 17 times and scored one goal.
After retiring as a player, Alvin Martin went into football management, managing Leyton Orient Football Club for a brief spell. He also worked as a pundit for Sky Sports and BBC Radio, giving his expert opinions on football matches. Martin is also involved in several charitable programs, supporting various causes like cancer research, schools, and clubs. Alvin Martin is considered one of the all-time greats of the West Ham football club and left a lasting legacy in the game of football.
