Claudio Ranieri was born on October 20th, 1951, in Rome, Italy. He began his soccer career as a player in 1973, playing as a defender for the Roma football club. After several years of playing, he retired in 1986 and began his coaching career. In 1993, he became head coach of Cagliari and helped them to avoid relegation. He later coached several high-profile teams including Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan before landing his biggest coaching job of all when he became head coach of Leicester City in 2015.
