Claudio Reyna is a retired American soccer player who made a tremendous impact on the game during his prime years. Reyna was born on July 20, 1973, in Livingston, New Jersey. After starting his youth career at the youth academy of Union Lancers and later with New Jersey Imperials, Claudio Reyna played his collegiate career at the University of Virginia. Reyna's professional career started in 1994 with Bayer Leverkusen before earning a move to Wolfsburg and later, VfL Wolfsburg. However, it was his stint with Glasgow Rangers that made Reyna a global soccer star. Reyna won three Scottish premier league titles, two Scottish Cups, and a Scottish League Cup with Rangers. In 1999, Reyna moved to Sunderland, where he became the captain and quickly became one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
