David Luiz was born on April 22, 1987, in Diadema, Brazil. He developed a passion for soccer at a young age and began his career playing for Esporte Clube Vitoria in Brazil. He quickly gained recognition as a talented player, attracting the attention of several European clubs. In 2007, he signed with Portuguese club S.L. Benfica, where he spent four successful seasons before moving on to Chelsea in 2011.
During his time at Chelsea, Luiz established himself as a key player in the team, helping them win numerous titles, including the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League. He was known for his powerful shots, technical ability, and leadership skills both on and off the pitch. Luiz's impressive performances earned him a reputation as one of the best center-backs in the world, and he was subsequently signed by Paris Saint-Germain for a then-world record fee for a defender in 2014.
