Edin Džeko Autographs
Edin Džeko was born on March 17, 1986, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He began his soccer career at the age of 17 playing for FK Željezničar Sarajevo. He quickly became a star player, scoring 10 goals in the 2003-2004 season. In 2007, he signed with VfL Wolfsburg, and during the 2008-2009 season, he led them to the Bundesliga championship with 26 goals. Džeko's incredible scoring ability made him a highly sought-after player, and in 2010 he moved to Manchester City for a transfer fee of £27million, the most expensive in the club's history at the time.
During his time at Manchester City, Džeko continued to prove himself as a powerful striker, scoring many crucial goals that helped the team win the Premier League title in 2012 and 2014. He also helped the team win the FA Cup in 2011 and the League Cup in 2014. In 2015, he signed with AS Roma, where he once again displayed his skills by being the top scorer in Serie A during the 2016-2017 season with 29 goals. Džeko has also represented his country in international matches, scoring 59 goals in 117 appearances for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Despite a brief stint with Manchester City in the Premier League, it's been in Europe that Edin Džeko has really made his mark as a footballer. Dubbed "The Bosnian Diamond", Džeko has accumulated numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career, including being named the Bosnian Footballer of the Year six times. Džeko is renowned for his ability to find the back of the net as he possesses a powerful shot combined with impressive physical attributes making him a handful for defenders to contain. All of Džeko's achievements have been a result of his hard work, dedication, and passion for the game, making him one of the most respected strikers in the world.
