He is an American-German professional soccer player who currently plays as a center-back for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and the United States Men’s National Team. Brooks began his career at the youth academy of Hertha Berlin, where he impressed as a center-back in their Under-19 team before moving up to the first team in 2011.
After playing for Hertha Berlin, Brooks signed with VfL Wolfsburg in 2017 for a fee of €20 million. He became a regular starter for the club, and his impressive performances led him to be named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season in 2019-20. Brooks also represented the United States at different levels, starting from the Under-20s to making his senior debut in 2013.
