Lee Dixon Autographs
Lee Dixon is a former professional football player from England. He was born on 17 March 1964 in Manchester. Dixon began playing football at an early age and joined the youth academy of Burnley Football Club at the age of 16. However, he was unable to break into the first team and after two years, he signed for Chester City in 1982. Dixon made 80 appearances for Chester before he was signed by Arsenal in 1988.
Dixon's career at Arsenal spanned ten years and he played a pivotal role in the club's success during the 1990s. During his time at Arsenal, Dixon won four First Division titles, two FA Cups, one League Cup and one Cup Winners' Cup. He made a total of 617 appearances for the club and was known for his electric pace and his ability to read the game. He was also a reliable penalty taker, scoring 10 goals for Arsenal during his time there. Dixon retired in 2002 after a brief spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers and currently works as a pundit and commentator for the BBC, ITV and NBC Sports in the United States.
Overall, Lee Dixon was one of the best right-backs of his generation and played an integral part in Arsenal's success during the 1990s. His speed, technique, and tactical awareness made him a formidable opponent for any attacker. He was also known for his professionalism and work ethic, which helped him to maintain his high standards throughout his career. Dixon's contribution to Arsenal and English football was recognized in 2019 when he was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame.
