Matt Busby was a Scottish footballer and manager, born on May 26, 1909, in Orbiston, Bellshill, Scotland. He played for Manchester City, Liverpool, and Scotland during his career as a player. As a soccer player, Busby made his debut for Manchester City in 1928 and was an influential centre-half for the team during the 1930s, before he transferred to Liverpool in 1936.
