Cheryl Hines Autographs
Cheryl Ruth Hines (born September 21, 1965) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Cheryl in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000–2024), for which she received two Emmy Award nominations. She has also starred as Dallas Royce on the ABC sitcom Suburgatory (2011–2014), and made her directorial debut with the 2009 film Serious Moonlight. Hines is married to lawyer, and former 2024 United States presidential candidate and nominated United States Secretary of Health and Human Services nominee, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Cheryl Ruth Hines was born in Miami Beach, Florida on September 21, 1965, to James and Rosemary Hines. According to her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., she grew up very poor, not even having her own bed until after high school. Part of her family came from Frostproof, Florida, but she grew up in Tallahassee, where she was a member of the Young Actors Theatre throughout high school. Hines also attended Lively Technical Center and Tallahassee Community College in Tallahassee. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1990 with a degree in radio and television production. She was raised Catholic.
Hines began her acting career by performing improvisational comedy at The Groundlings Theater. Her fellow students included Lisa Kudrow. Hines made guest appearances on television shows such as Swamp Thing and Unsolved Mysteries. She also appeared on an episode of The Dating Game in 1996. She was not picked on the episode.
