Aaron Craft is a former professional baseball player who was born on February 12, 1991, in Findlay, Ohio. Growing up, Craft played both basketball and baseball and excelled at both sports. However, his passion for baseball led him to pursue a career in the sport. Craft continued his baseball career at Ohio State University, where he was a standout player for four years. During his time at Ohio State, he was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team, the All-Big Ten team, and was a two-time Academic All-American. In 2010, he helped lead the Buckeyes to the Big Ten title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Craft was drafted twice, first by the New York Yankees in the 41st round in 2010 and then by the Oakland Athletics in the 31st round in 2013. He decided to pursue a career in basketball instead of accepting either offer.
Although Craft did not pursue baseball professionally, his baseball career highlights his athleticism, work ethic, and competitiveness. He was a versatile player who played infield and outfield and was known for his speed and defensive abilities.
