Brian Duensing is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for a number of teams during his professional career. Born on February 22, 1983, in Marysville, Kansas, Duensing showed a passion for sports from an early age. He played baseball, basketball, and golf while attending Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduation, he continued playing baseball at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he was part of the Huskers team that made the College World Series in 2005. More about Brian Duensing

In 2005, Duensing was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the third round of the MLB draft. He played in the minor leagues for two seasons before making his debut in a Twins uniform in 2009. While with the Twins, Duensing quickly became known for his versatility as a pitcher. He was often called upon to make spot starts, come in relief or even close out games, depending on the team's needs. Duensing was an important part of the Twins bullpen during the years he spent with the team.
