Camilo Pascual was a professional baseball pitcher born on January 20, 1934, in Havana, Cuba. He started his baseball career playing for the Havana Sugar Kings in the International League in 1950. In 1954, he signed with the Washington Senators and made his Major League debut on September 12, 1954. Pascual quickly established himself as a dominant starting pitcher for the Senators, leading the American League in strikeouts in 1959 and 1960. Pascual had his best years with the Twins, posting three 20-win seasons and being selected to four All-Star Games. In his first season with the Twins, he posted a 21-9 record and led the American League with 221 strikeouts.
