Chuck Knoblauch Autographs
Chuck Knoblauch is a retired professional baseball player who played as a second baseman for four different teams in the Major Leagues between 1991 and 2002. He was born on July 7, 1968, in Houston, Texas, and attended Bellaire High School before going on to play college baseball at Texas A&M University. He was drafted in the first round of the 1989 MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins and made his MLB debut in 1991.
Knoblauch quickly established himself as one of the league's premier second basemen during his time with the Twins. He won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 1991 and was named an All-Star in each of his first four seasons. He was also a key contributor to the Twins' World Series championship team in 1991, hitting an impressive .367 with six runs scored and six stolen bases in the series.
After playing for the Twins for seven seasons, Knoblauch was traded to the New York Yankees in 1998. He played for the Yankees for four seasons, during which he won three consecutive Gold Glove Awards (1998-2000) and was a member of their World Series championship teams in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Knoblauch finished his career with brief stints with the Kansas City Royals and the Houston Astros before retiring in 2002 with a career batting average of .289, 98 home runs, 615 RBI, and 407 stolen bases.
