Clete Thomas Autographs
Clete Thomas was born on November 14, 1983, in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Mosley High School, located in Lynn Haven, Florida before going to Auburn University, where his baseball career began to take shape. In 2005, the Detroit Tigers drafted him in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball draft, and he played his first professional game the following year with the Single-A affiliate of the Tigers.
Thomas's early years with the Tigers were mixed, but he quickly became known for his defense in the outfield. In 2012, he played briefly for the Minnesota Twins before rejoining the Tigers later that year. Thomas appeared in 36 games that season, hitting .252 with two home runs and seven RBIs. In his six-year Major League career, he batted .233 with eight home runs, 24 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and a .302 on-base percentage over 178 games. Despite never being a full-time starter, Thomas had a productive career that spanned almost a decade.
After retiring from baseball, Thomas went on to become a coach and mentor for young baseball players. He co-founded a youth baseball academy that focused on helping kids develop and improve their skills. His passion for baseball continued well beyond his playing career, and he remained a beloved figure among Tigers fans who appreciated his contributions to the team.
