Danny Hultzen Autographs

Danny Hultzen is a former professional baseball player who was born on November 28, 1989 in Bethesda, Maryland. Hultzen attended St. Albans School in Washington, D.C. where he played as a pitcher and outfielder for the varsity team. He later joined the University of Virginia's baseball team where he played from 2009 to 2011. During his college career, Hultzen was an outstanding pitcher who helped lead the team to the College World Series twice. He finished his college years with a remarkable record of 32-5, with an ERA of 2.08, and had 395 strikeouts.
After his impressive college career, Hultzen was drafted as a second overall pick by the Seattle Mariners in the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft. His professional career with the Mariners started in 2012 with the Double-A Jackson Generals in Tennessee. Hultzen quickly rose through the ranks after his impressive performances earning him a promotion to Triple-A Tacoma. He was touted as one of the Mariners’ most promising prospects, but his entry into Major League Baseball was short-lived. After four seasons of dealing with various injuries to his shoulder, rotator cuff, and hip, Hultzen announced his retirement from baseball in 2016, citing that his injuries made it impossible for him to continue playing the game he loved.
Hultzen's baseball career was among the most promising prospects in the game when he caught fans' attention while throwing three no-hitters as a college player. However, his injuries curtailed his professional career, making it one of the hardest moments of his life. Despite the cruel ending to his baseball career, Hultzen's legacy remains intact as fans remember him for his contributions to baseball as an exceptional pitcher who had the potential to become one of the best.
