Darin Ruf Autographs
Darin Ruf is a professional baseball player who was born on July 28, 1986, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was raised in West Des Moines, Iowa, where he attended and played high school baseball at Dowling Catholic High School. Ruf’s dedication to the sport led him to play college baseball at Creighton University, where he played all four years and was awarded Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2009.
After being drafted in 2009 by the Philadelphia Phillies, Ruf began his professional baseball career in the minor leagues. He played several seasons with various Phillies' minor league affiliates, including the Clearwater Threshers, Reading Phillies, and Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Ruf’s hard work and determination led him to make his major league debut for the Phillies on September 14, 2012. He played several seasons for the Phillies before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016.
Ruf’s baseball career continued overseas in 2017 when he signed with the Samsung Lions of the Korean Baseball Organization. He spent two seasons with the team, hitting 70 home runs and 202 RBIs. Ruf’s success in Korea led to him being signed by the San Francisco Giants in January 2020. He made the Giants’ opening day roster and had a strong season, hitting 5 home runs and batting .276 in 36 games for the team. As of 2021, Ruf remains a key player for the San Francisco Giants and is well-respected for his hard work and dedication to the team.
