Dave Stieb was an American former professional baseball player born on July 22, 1957, in Santa Ana, California. He was a pitcher primarily known for his stint with the Toronto Blue Jays. Stieb played for the Toronto Blue Jays from the beginning of his career in 1979 to 1992. He established himself as one of the premier pitchers in the league during his tenure with the Blue Jays. Stieb recorded five All-Star selections and won a Silver Slugger award in 1982.
