Wacha's first breakthrough came in the 2013 Season when he played for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was instrumental in helping the team reach the World Series, pitching in the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. In Game 2, Wacha struck out eight batters while allowing no runs in six and two-thirds innings. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the NLCS, and his performances during that playoff run represented one of the most impressive postseasons by a rookie.

Over the years, Wacha has continued to make significant contributions to the St. Louis Cardinals, earning three All-Star selections in his career. Throughout his career, he has compiled a record of 62-48, pitched over 960 innings, and struck out over 800 batters. His fastball, curveball, and change-up are his primary pitches, and their combination has helped him deceive and outmaneuver some of the most formidable hitters in the Major Leagues. Wacha is regarded as one of the most talented and consistent pitchers in the league, and his contribution to the sport of baseball has been instrumental in his success.
