During his time with the Twins, Jesse Crain established himself as one of the team's top relievers. He had a career-best season in 2009, where he earned 7 wins, 4 losses, and an ERA of 2.71. In 2011, Crain achieved a personal milestone when he recorded his 100th career hold, becoming the fifth Twins player to reach the feat. However, despite his success with the Twins, Crain dealt with injuries in 2012 which led to him being traded to the Chicago White Sox in 2013.

After joining the White Sox, Jesse Crain showed why he was one of the best relief pitchers in the game. In his first 37 appearances, he had an ERA of just 0.74, striking out 46 batters over 36.2 innings. Unfortunately, Crain's season was cut short due to a shoulder injury, which would prove to be significant in the subsequent years. He would join the Houston Astros in 2014 but was unable to pitch due to the injuries that continued to plague him, leading to his retirement in 2015. Jesse Crain may have had a relatively short career, but he will always be remembered as a talented and hardworking baseball player who made a significant impact on the field.
