Jonathan Broxton Autographs
Jonathan Broxton is a former American professional baseball player born on June 16, 1984 in Augusta, Georgia. He played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2005 to 2019, playing for several teams during his stellar career.
Broxton played college baseball at Santa Fe Community College before being drafted in the second round of the 2002 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He made his debut for the Dodgers in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the best relievers in the league. He became the team's closer in 2008 and set a franchise record for most saves in a season with 36.
During his 14-year baseball career, Broxton played for Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, and New York Mets. He was a two-time All-Star in 2009 and 2010 and won the National League Rolaids Relief Man Award in 2009. He retired from baseball in 2019 with a career record of 53-39, 119 saves, and an impressive 3.38 earned run average.
