Josh Donaldson Autographs
Josh Donaldson, born on December 8, 1985, is a former professional baseball player. He was originally drafted in the first round by the Chicago Cubs in 2007, but it wasn't until he was traded to the Oakland Athletics in 2010 that he began to make a name for himself in the baseball world. It was with the Athletics that Donaldson developed into one of the best third basemen in the league, earning his first All-Star selection in 2014 while leading the league in runs scored and finishing fourth in the MVP voting.
In 2015, Donaldson was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, where he continued to build on his reputation as one of the best players in the game. That season, he led the Blue Jays to their first playoff appearance in 22 years and won the American League MVP award. He hit .297 with 41 home runs and 123 RBI, while also leading the league in runs scored and total bases. Donaldson's fantastic season helped the Blue Jays make it to the American League Championship Series.
After four seasons in Toronto, Donaldson signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Braves in 2019. While he only played one full season with the team, the 34-year-old third baseman was able to make an impact. He hit 37 home runs and drove in 94 runs to earn his final All-Star selection. After a short stint with the Minnesota Twins in 2020, Donaldson announced his retirement from baseball in February 2022. With a successful career, including three All-Star selections and an MVP award, Josh Donaldson will go down in history as one of the greatest third basemen to ever play the game.
