Kenny Lofton, a former professional baseball player, was born on May 31, 1967, in East Chicago, Indiana. Lofton's athletic abilities were evident early on as he was an excellent athlete. In college, he played both basketball and baseball, but it was baseball that he chose to pursue professionally.
