Kevin Seitzer Autographs
Kevin Seitzer was born in Springfield, Illinois in 1962. He attended Eastern Illinois University where he played college baseball for the Panthers. In 1983, he was drafted in the 11th round by the Kansas City Royals. Seitzer began his professional baseball career as a second baseman for the Royals and quickly made an impact in the league. He played 12 seasons in the Major Leagues, with six of those seasons being for the Royals.
Seitzer was a proficient hitter in the league, finishing his career with a .295 batting average. He hit at least .300 in four separate seasons and was selected to the All-Star team twice in 1987 and 1995. Seitzer was known for his consistent hitting approach and plate discipline, leading the league in walks in 1989. He also had a great knack for getting on base with over 1,600 career hits and over 100 stolen bases throughout his career. After his playing career, Seitzer went on to become a coach and manager for various teams in the Major Leagues, including the Milwaukee Brewers, Kansas City Royals, and Atlanta Braves.
Kevin Seitzer's success as a player and coach in the Major Leagues make him a beloved figure in baseball history. He was inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame in 2009 and has left a lasting legacy within the sport.
