Nate Robertson is a former MLB left-handed pitcher who played for five major league teams across nine seasons. Born in Wichita, Kansas in 1977, he attended Wichita State University where he played college baseball for the Shockers. Robertson made his major league debut with the Marlins in 2002, but it was with the Detroit Tigers where he found his most success. He was traded to the Tigers in 2003 and became a staple in their starting rotation for six seasons. In 2006, he won a career-high 13 games and pitched a complete game shutout. He was also a member of the Tigers' 2006 American League Championship team, where he helped lead the team to their first World Series appearance since 1984.

After his time with the Tigers, Robertson pitched for the Florida Marlins, Philadelphia Phillies, and Seattle Mariners before retiring from baseball in 2011. In his career, he recorded 57 wins, 77 losses, and a 5.01 earned run average while striking out 776 batters. Robertson's dedication and success on the baseball diamond earned him the respect and admiration of his teammates and fans, and he remains a beloved figure in the baseball community to this day.
