Pee Wee Reese Autographs

Pee Wee ReesePee Wee Reese was an American professional baseball player who played shortstop for the Brooklyn Dodgers for 16 seasons. Born as Harold Henry Reese, he got the nickname Pee Wee due to his small size. Reese was known for his excellent fielding skills and his leadership on the field. He played a key role in the Brooklyn Dodgers' success in the 1940s and 1950s, as the team won six National League pennants and one World Series during his tenure.
Reese's professional baseball career began in 1938 when he signed with the Louisville Colonels, a minor league team. In 1940, he was called up to the Brooklyn Dodgers and quickly established himself as one of the best shortstops in the game. Reese was known for his quick reflexes, his strong arm, and his ability to make difficult plays look easy. He was named to the National League All-Star team 10 times and was a key contributor to the Brooklyn Dodgers' success in the 1940s and 1950s.
Reese's most famous moment on the baseball field came during the 1947 season when he embraced his teammate Jackie Robinson in a show of support before a game. Robinson had faced racist taunts and discrimination since joining the Dodgers that year, and Reese's gesture helped to break down some of the racial barriers in baseball. Reese retired from baseball in 1958 and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. He remains an iconic figure in the history of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the city of Brooklyn.
