During his playing career, Bradley was a two-time All-Star player, played primarily as an outfielder, and had a batting average of .271. Bradley's best season came in 1985 when he batted .300, hit 14 home runs, and made 103 runs batted in (RBIs) for the Mariners. He also stole 24 bases, which led to his selection for that year's All-Star Game.

Bradley had a few other notable achievements including being awarded the 1985 Seattle Mariners Player of the Year and being a member of the silver medal-winning United States baseball team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he played for the Seattle Mariners, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and the Chicago Cubs. Bradley retired from baseball in 1991, having played in a total of 883 games, hit 78 home runs, and had 394 RBIs, going down in history as a baseball legend.
