Rey Ordonez was a Cuban-American professional baseball player born on January 11, 1971, in Havana, Cuba. He is famously recognized for his excellent defensive skills during his career as a shortstop. In 1993, Ordonez started his career as a professional player when he signed with the New York Mets. He quickly became a fan favorite and gained recognition for his flashy defensive plays.
