Ryan Garko is a former Major League Baseball first baseman who played for several teams during his career. Born on January 2, 1981, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Garko attended Stanford University where he played college baseball for the Stanford Cardinal. After being drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the third round of the 2003 Major League Baseball draft, Garko quickly rose through the ranks and made his MLB debut on August 31, 2005.
