Todd Coffey is a retired American baseball relief pitcher who played for several teams in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2005 to 2014. He was born on September 9, 1980, in Shelby, North Carolina, and attended Chase High School, where he was a standout baseball player. Coffey was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 41st round of the 1998 MLB draft but decided to attend college at a small university before being drafted again in 1991 by the Reds.
