Tom Gorzelanny is a former American professional baseball player who played as a pitcher for several teams during his baseball career. He was born on July 12, 1982, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and attended Marist High School where he played baseball. In 2003, Gorzelanny was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft. He began his professional baseball career in 2005 with the Pirates, and he quickly became an important part of the team's pitching staff. During his time with the Pirates, Gorzelanny had a 32-45 win-loss record with a 4.79 ERA along with 387 strikeouts in 663 innings pitched. He also played for other teams including the Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals, Milwaukee Brewers, and Detroit Tigers.

Throughout his baseball career, Tom Gorzelanny was known for his impressive fastball and excellent pitching abilities. He played for 10 years in the major leagues, and he retired in 2016.
