Tom Kelly Autographs

Tom KellyTom Kelly is a former Major League Baseball player and manager, born on August 15, 1950, in Graceville, Minnesota. Kelly was a standout athlete in high school and went on to play college baseball at South Dakota State University before being drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 1971.
Kelly played in the minor leagues for several years before making his major league debut with the Twins in 1975. He played mostly as a utility infielder and had a career batting average of .181 with five home runs and 37 RBI in 180 games. However, his playing career was short-lived, and he retired in 1981 to pursue a career in coaching.
Kelly then spent several years coaching in the Twins' minor league system before being named the team's manager in 1986. He led the Twins to two World Series championships in 1987 and 1991, becoming the first manager to win the title in his first year as a manager. Kelly remained with the Twins until his retirement in 2001, finishing with a career managerial record of 1,140 wins and 1,244 losses. He was known for his leadership and strategic thinking, and is regarded as one of the most successful managers in Twins history.
