Worley was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the 2008 MLB draft. He made his major league debut on April 29, 2010, against the Florida Marlins. He became a regular starter for the Phillies during the 2011 season and was an important piece of the team that won the National League East division title that year. In 2013, Worley was traded to the Minnesota Twins, where he played for one season before moving on to the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, and Miami Marlins. Over the course of his career, Worley had a record of 36 wins and 43 losses with a 4.09 ERA and 495 strikeouts.

Worley’s success on the diamond can be attributed to his strong work ethic, tenacity, and versatility. Despite not being blessed with overpowering stuff, Worley’s ability to mix pitches effectively and throw strikes made him a reliable presence on the mound. His determination and willingness to adapt to the changing game of baseball allowed him to persevere through injuries and setbacks. Although he is no longer an active player, Worley’s impact on the sport continues to inspire young players to work hard and never give up on their dreams.
