Zack Cozart Autographs
Zack Cozart is a former American baseball player known for his strong defensive skills and consistent performance on the field. He was born on August 12, 1985, in Memphis, Tennessee, and attended the University of Mississippi, where he played college baseball for the Ole Miss Rebels. In 2007, he was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft and began his professional career in the minor leagues.
Cozart made his major league debut in July 2011, playing shortstop for the Reds. Over the course of his career, Cozart was known for his solid defense and was recognized for his performance when he received a Golden Glove award in 2017. He also had a career-best season in 2017 offensively, hitting .297 with 24 home runs and 63 RBIs. In December 2017, he signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, where he played one season before being traded to the San Francisco Giants in 2019.
Cozart's career was cut short due to recurring injuries, and he officially announced his retirement from professional baseball on October 28, 2020. Despite his comparatively short career, Cozart's defensive prowess and leadership on the field made him a respected player among his peers and a fan favorite. Today, he serves as a broadcast analyst for the Cincinnati Reds, his former team, and remains an active supporter and advocate for the sport of baseball.
