Elton Brand Autographs
Elton Brand was born on March 11, 1979, in Cortlandt Manor, New York. He is a former professional basketball player who played for 17 seasons in the NBA. Brand was a dominant player during his college years at Duke University, where he won the Naismith College Player of the Year award in 1999. He entered the NBA in 1999 after being drafted by the Chicago Bulls as the first overall pick.
Brand had an outstanding rookie year with the Bulls, earning the Rookie of the Year award. He was later traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played for seven seasons and established himself as one of the top power forwards in the league. Brand's productive stint with the Clippers saw him earn two All-Star team selections, as well as All-NBA Second Team recognition in 2006. He also led the Clippers to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons in 2006 and 2007.
Brand's skills on the basketball courts led to him being sought after by several NBA teams. In 2008, he signed a five-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. With the Sixers, Brand continued to be a productive player, albeit with less high-scoring games. He spent four years with Philadelphia before moving on to play for the Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, and finally the 76ers again in 2016. Brand retired from basketball in 2017, finishing his career with career averages of 15.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game over 1,058 regular season games.
