Kurt Rambis Autographs
Kurt Rambis is a former professional basketball player who was born on February 25th, 1958, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He attended Santa Clara University and played for Santa Clara Broncos from 1976 to 1980. During his senior year, he led the team to the NCAA Tournament and was named the West Coast Conference tournament MVP. In 1980, Rambis was not drafted in the NBA, but he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent.
During his 14-year career in the NBA, Rambis played for four teams, but he is best known for his time with the Lakers. He played with the Lakers for nine seasons and won four NBA championships in 1982, 1985, 1987, and 1988. Rambis was known for his tenacious defense and aggressive play, which made him a fan favorite. In his final season with the Lakers, Rambis played a limited role, but he became an assistant coach for the team after retiring in 1995.
After his coaching stint with the Lakers, Rambis became a head coach for several teams, including the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks. He also worked as an assistant coach for various teams, including the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Phoenix Suns. Rambis was known for his passion for the game and his ability to connect with his players.
