Larry Brown was an American football player who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He was born on October 17, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Brown played college football at Kansas State University and was later drafted by the Washington Redskins in the eighth round of the 1969 NFL Draft. More about Larry Brown

During his rookie season in 1969, Brown played in all 14 regular-season games for the Redskins, rushing for 888 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and helped lead the Redskins to the playoffs. In 1972, Brown had his best season, rushing for 1,216 yards and eight touchdowns.
