Richmond spent the first three seasons of his NBA career with the Golden State Warriors, where he established himself as one of the premier shooting guards in the league. During his tenure with the Warriors, he was named NBA Rookie of the Year in 1989 and was a three-time NBA All-Star. After spending three seasons with the Sacramento Kings, Richmond won an NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2002, where he played a crucial role off the bench.

By the time Richmond retired in 2002, he had amassed a total of 20,497 points, which ranks 34th on the all-time NBA scoring list. Over the course of his career, he was primarily known for his exceptional shooting ability, which earned him the nickname “The Rock.” He was also known for his strong work ethic and leadership skills, which made him a respected figure in NBA circles.
