Rashard Lewis Autographs
Rashard Lewis is a former American professional basketball player who was born on August 8, 1979, in Pineville, Louisiana. He started playing basketball in high school and got selected in the second round of the 1998 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. He played 9 seasons with the SuperSonics before he got traded to the Orlando Magic in 2007. He played for the Magic for four seasons and then spent two seasons with the Washington Wizards before he finally retired in 2014 after playing 16 seasons in total.
Lewis was a versatile forward who could play both small forward and power forward positions. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches, he was known for his outside shooting range and his athleticism. He was also a consistent scorer who averaged 14.9 points per game during his career. He made two All-Star Game appearances in his career, in 2005 and 2009. One of his career highlights was winning the 2006 NBA Three-Point Shootout, in which he defeated Dirk Nowitzki and others. Lewis was a key player for the Orlando Magic during their 2008-2009 NBA Finals run, where Lewis helped the Magic defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers and then went on to play a crucial role in their series against the Los Angeles Lakers, where they eventually lost.
Throughout his career, Lewis earned over $155 million and is considered as one of the highest-paid players in NBA history. He was known for his philanthropy and supported various organizations, such as the All-Star Children's Foundation and his own Rashard Lewis Foundation. He was a two-time winner of the Rich and Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award in Orlando, which recognized his humanitarian efforts. Post-retirement, Lewis still remains involved in basketball, coaching and mentoring the next generation of players, as well as providing insightful commentary on various NBA games.
