Ron Artest Autographs
Ron Artest, also known by his later name Metta World Peace, is a retired American professional basketball player. He was born in Queens, New York in 1979 and started playing basketball at a very young age. Artest played for St. John's University for two years before being drafted into the NBA in 1999 by the Chicago Bulls.
During his 17-year career, Artest played for several NBA teams, including the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Knicks. He was known for his toughness on defense and his aggressive playing style on the court, earning him the reputation of being one of the best defenders in the NBA. Artest was also a skilled scorer, averaging 14.2 points per game over his career.
Throughout his career, Artest earned numerous awards and honors, including being named to the NBA All-Defensive team four times and winning the NBA championship with the Lakers in 2010. He was also named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 and was selected to play in the NBA All-Star game in 2004 and 2005. Despite his on-court successes, Artest was also known for his off-court controversies, including several suspensions and legal issues. However, he is still regarded as one of the most talented and influential players in NBA history.
