Shane Battier Autographs

Shane BattierShane Battier is a retired professional basketball player who played primarily as a small forward and power forward for various teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on September 9, 1978, in Birmingham, Michigan, Battier attended Detroit Country Day School where he developed his basketball skills. During his high school career, he led his team to three consecutive Class B State Championships and was named the 1997 Mr. Basketball of Michigan.
After high school, Battier went on to play college basketball for Duke University, where he played under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski. Battier was a two-time recipient of the Naismith College Player of the Year award, and in 2001, he led Duke to a national championship. In that same year, he won the prestigious Wooden Award and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies as the 6th overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft.
Battier played for several teams throughout his 13-season NBA career, including the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Battier was known for his defensive skills and three-point shooting, earning him a reputation as one of the best defenders in the league. During his time with the Miami Heat, he won two NBA championships in 2012 and 2013, and his contributions to the team were widely recognized. Battier retired from the NBA in 2014 and was known as a true professional and a beloved teammate.
