Fasano was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cowboys, where he proved his worth as a reliable pass catcher and earned a reputation as a physical blocker in both the running and passing game. In 2010, he joined the Miami Dolphins, where he played for the next four seasons. During his time in Miami, Fasano continued to excel on the field, earning a reputation as a tough and versatile player who could make big plays in clutch moments.

After leaving the Dolphins, Fasano had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tennessee Titans before announcing his retirement from the NFL in 2018.
