Griffin was born in Columbus, Ohio, where he attended Eastmoor High School. He then went on to attend Ohio State University, where he played football for four years from 1972 to 1975. After graduating from Ohio State, Archie Griffin was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 1976 NFL Draft. Griffin played seven seasons with the Bengals, but he never quite lived up to expectations in the professional league. However, Griffin’s legacy at Ohio State remained secure, and he continued to be regarded as one of the greatest college football players of all time. Today, Archie Griffin remains an important figure in the world of college football, and he has been inducted into multiple Hall of Fames, including the College Football Hall of Fame and the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame.
