Colt McCoy Autographs
Colt McCoy was born on September 5, 1986, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He grew up in Tuscola, Texas, where he played high school football for the Jim Ned Wildcats. Despite being considered undersized for a quarterback, McCoy's outstanding performance on the field was enough for him to be offered a scholarship to play for the University of Texas.
During his time at Texas, McCoy set numerous records and led the team to the 2010 National Championship game. He was the Heisman Trophy runner-up that same year, finishing behind Mark Ingram of Alabama. McCoy was known for his exceptional accuracy and decision-making, as well as his mobility and toughness.
After going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, McCoy signed with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent. He played for the Browns for three seasons before being traded to the San Francisco 49ers. McCoy also had stints with the Washington Football Team, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Arizona Cardinals. Although he has mainly served as a backup quarterback throughout his NFL career, McCoy has started several games and has put up solid numbers when given the opportunity to play.
