Born in Wallingford, Pennsylvania in 1985, the linebacker began his career at Penn State University, playing for the Nittany Lions for four seasons. During his college career, Connor helped lead the team to 10 wins and a victory in the 2007 Outback Bowl, earning recognition as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
Following his impressive stint in college, Connor was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the 3rd round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He remained with the team for four seasons, amassing a total of 220 tackles and establishing himself as a stalwart for the Panthers' defense. He also played for the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants, and the Jacksonville Jaguars before retiring from football in 2015. Connor now works as a special teams coordinator at his alma mater, Penn State University.
