Dwight Freeney Autographs
Dwight Freeney is a former American football defensive end who played for 16 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Freeney began his football career at Bloomfield High School in Connecticut before moving on to play college football at Syracuse University. He was a standout player at Syracuse, earning first-team All-Big East Conference honors twice, as well as being named a consensus first-team All-American in 2001.
In 2002, Freeney was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts, where he spent the majority of his career. During his tenure with the Colts, Freeney became one of the most feared pass rushers in the league, earning seven Pro Bowl selections and being named a first-team All-Pro three times. He was also a key player in the Colts' victory in Super Bowl XLI, recording a sack and forcing a fumble in their win over the Chicago Bears.
Freeney also played for several other teams in his later years, including the San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, and Detroit Lions. He retired from the NFL in 2018, finishing his career with 125.5 sacks, good for 17th on the all-time list. Freeney's signature move was his spin move, which he used to great effect throughout his career. He is widely regarded as one of the best pass rushers of his era and a future Hall of Famer.
