Eddie Royal is a retired American football wide receiver known for his impressive speed and agility on the field. Born on May 21, 1986, in Alexandria, Virginia, Eddie attended Westfield High School where he showed great athleticism in football and track. His stellar performance on the field led to him receiving multiple offers from various colleges.
Eddie eventually attended Virginia Tech where he quickly became a prominent figure in the team. In his first year, he set a school record with 4 returns to touchdowns, including two punts, one kickoff, and one blocked field goal. In his junior year, he was named the ACC's Special Teams Player of the Year, and his amazing skills on the field earned him a lot of attention from NFL scouts.
Eddie Royal was drafted in the second round in 2008 by the Denver Broncos where he spent the first four years of his NFL career. During his time with the Broncos, he proved to be an outstanding player, making numerous receptions and earning over 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie season. In 2012, Royal spent a year with the San Diego Chargers before spending his last two seasons with the Chicago Bears. The retired wide receiver finished his eight-year NFL career with 408 receptions, 4848 receiving yards, and 28 touchdowns. Eddie Royal will always be remembered for his exceptional talent, hard work, and determination on the football field.
