Jim Marshall Autographs

Jim Marshall was a legendary American football player who is renowned for his exceptional football career that spanned over 20 years. He was born on December 30th, 1937, in El Dorado, Arkansas, and began his football career at the high school level. He was awarded a scholarship to play football at Ohio State University, where he played as a defensive tackle for three seasons. During his time at Ohio State, the team won the national championship in 1957 and became one of the most dominant forces in college football.
After completing his college career, Jim Marshall joined the Cleveland Browns in 1960 as a 4th round pick in the NFL draft. He played for the Browns for a season before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings in 1961. During his time with the Vikings, he was part of the famous "Purple People Eaters" defense line, which was one of the most feared lines in football history. He played for the Vikings for 19 seasons, from 1961 to 1979, and was a vital contributor to their four Super Bowl appearances. Jim Marshall’s iron-man streak of playing 282 straight games became an incredible achievement that really set him apart from his contemporaries.
Jim Marshall was one of the most respected players in American football and was known for his exceptional leadership skills, work ethic and his contribution to the sport. He was inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor in 1999, and after retiring from football, he ran a successful sports company. Jim Marshall was everything that sports enthusiasts could ask for in a role model and his legacy will continue to inspire generations of young football athletes.
